Year 8 & 9 Solar Tower Stem Challenge

On Monday 17 June, pupils in Years 8 and 9 will be tasked with building a solar tower that harnesses energy, from the sun or from desk lamps, to turn a turbine. We are hoping pupils create purposeful, functional, and appealing designs • Build structures, explore how the towers can be made stronger and more stable and evaluate ideas and products against design criteria.
