On Friday, 35 Year 8 pupils visited the Devil's Porridge Museum in Eastriggs to learn more about the role of the munitions factory during World War One. Pupils learnt about the role of female factory workers in the war effort to produce cordite for munitions, and the effect production had on their health. They also learnt about experiences of soldiers living in the trenches on the Western Front, and the experience of navvies building the railways to transport the munitions. All pupils were exceptionally behaved and we are very proud of how polite and respectful they were throughout the visit. Mrs Johnston, Trip Leader
