Uniform
The uniform will identify Newman pupils as proud members of the school and community. At all times pupils are to wear the uniform with pride and respect for all that it represents. (The full uniform is to be worn by pupils on the way to school, between lessons and on the way home).

Jewellery: a wrist watch can be worn. One pair of small stud earrings-one in the lobe of each ear. No facial or body piercings. No other jewellery is permitted and the school policy is to confiscate jewellery and store it at student services for the pupil to collect at the end of the day.
Make-up: Make-up should not be excessive; false eyelashes, heavy mascara or eyeliner, heavy lipstick or drawn on eyebrows are unacceptable.
Hair styles: should not be shaven or extreme and hair can only be one natural colour.
Nails: Nail varnish should be clear or pale. Acrylic/false nails/nail art are not acceptable.
Bags: a suitable school bag is a compulsory part of the school uniform.
