The Fire Brigade will be delivering road safety awareness training to our sixth form on Thursday 14 November 2019.
A group of Year 9 student's will be attending the Discover Uni Day at Newcastle University on Monday 18 November 2019.
The Year 7's have been practising their `disney themed' Spanglovision songs over the past few weeks and the final versions have been played in assembles all week. The staff and students have been voting for their winner and the votes will be counted and a winner announced after half term! Well done to 7ECN, CMM and ERL.
The first round of the Annual Rotary Club Youth Speaks competition will take place on Wednesday 16 October 2019. We are entering 2 teams into the competition this year.

On Wednesday 10 July the Year 10's took part in a Preparing for Work Day. As part of the day's events students had a ten minute interview with an employer and spend time working on writing CV's and planning next steps.
Year 7/8 Sports Day in on Thursday 11 July and Year 9/10 is on Monday 8 July 2019.
Students from all year groups are packed up and off on the school's annual retreat to Castlerigg Manor this week.
As part of a new curriculum competition, Mrs Graham in the English Department asked her English classes to write an Oath entry for the Cumbria School Games competition and we are delighted to announce that Evie Davidson, Year 8 has been announced as a winner. Congratulations to the KS3 students who have won the first round of the English department Spelling Bee 2019. In the next round the students will have a 'spell off' with the other winners from their year group. If they are successful, they will go through to the final round.
We would like to wish all of the students the best of luck as they starts their exams on Monday 13 May 2019. Please arrive to the exams on time and with the correct equipment.
The Year 12's are visiting the UCAS Fair where they will have the opportunity to join UCAS experts, university and college representatives and industry professionals at this unique event. There will be inspirational talks, seminars and a chance to chat through the application process.
