Maddie Wildridge, Alex Cairns, Molly Hagan & Lauren Wightman represented Newman School in the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust team challenge which was held at Caldew School on 22 March 2018 and they came an impressive 4th place out of 10 teams.

The Newman Life Club held a bake sale to raise money for Mary's Meals and raised £44.28..  

The Year 13 Sociology students have been attending an AQA A-Level Sociology Grade Booster Workshop today in Salford.   

Rehearsals continue on Wednesday lunchtimes with Mrs Tickell in the music room G4 - all students' welcome.

The Year 7 & 9 boys football fixtures against Caldew on Wednesday 28 Feb have been postponed due to the uncertainty over the weather and will be rearranged for a later date.  Thank you - Mr Cameron, PE Dept.

Thursday 1st March is World Book Day.  Book tokens will be available from Mrs Jones in the LRC and Mrs Tickell will be doing assemblies all week. 

This week during assemblies the students have been learning about the charity Mary's Meals and have been set a challenge to find ways to fundraise for this worthwhile cause as a form group or year group.

We are delighted to announce that Courtney White, Year 13 has gained a scholarship to study at New York University (Tisch School of the Arts) to study film and television.
