We were delighted to have been awarded another Royal Institute of Science show grant for Year 7 and Year 8 pupils. The show took place in school and over 300 pupils got the to experience a science show,, usually only available in National Science museums.

Year 11 triple scientists were displaying excellent dissecting skills in their practical session this week. The kidney was dissected to identify kidney tubules and the various structures in the kidney.

Our Christmas Craft Club which takes place on Wednesday's after school with Mrs Nichol is now in full swing, this week the pupils were making festive gift tags.

Last week our Year 12 students visited the University and Apprenticeship Fair in Newcastle. 

Our Year 7 Students of the Month were presented with their certificates and badges in assembly - October's theme was was for `participation in lessons'. 

On Wednesday 9 November pupils from each year group will be competing in the Secondary Novice Gymnastics competition at North Lakes Gym Club in Penrith.  We had a great turnout at the first Premiership Kicks football session led by Carlisle United coaches with over 50 pupils attending. The sessions are open to all boys and girls, all abilities and all year groups and will be held every Friday between 3:15-4:15pm - we hope to see more pupils there next week. Mr Irving, Head of PE.
