We are super proud of the Shakespeare Schools cast who performed Antony and Cleopatra at the Theatre by the Lake in Keswick, earlier this week. It was a real team effort lead by Mrs Johnston and a big thank you to Miss Bradley and the sewing bee club for the fabulous costumes.

The Sixth Formers challenged the teachers to a charity Dodgeball match to raise money for their chosen charity.  It was great to see so many staff and pupils take part and some taking it far more seriously than others!  It was a great even enjoyed by all.

Year 8 spent the day exploring Glasgow Science Museum. Pupils were a credit to the school and enjoyed all the exhibits. Highlights were the IMAX, where we saw the impact of climate change on the worlds glaciers, and the Planetarium, which provided an opportunity to star gaze without light pollution. Fantastic work from our Year 11's on their GCSE geography fieldwork. Even though it was cold and rainy they worked hard and produced some great work – Miss Hannan.

To celebrate Science week, a group of Year 8 pupils will visit the Glasgow Science Centre for the day on Thursday 2 March 2023.. 

As a requirement of the GCSE Geography course, our Year 11 pupils will be visiting Silloth to collect data as part of a fieldwork visit.

This week a group of Year 10 pupils visited UCLan in Preston to learn about their business and management courses on offer and enjoyed a tour of the campus.  They took part in a range of academic sessions including stocks and shares and business and finance.  

Well done to the pupils who took part in the Level 3 Bikeability training this week. The instructors from Cyclewise had lots of praise for the way the pupils conducted themselves during the training as they developed their knowledge, skills, and confidence to cycle safely on the roads.
