For 30 years Jesus lived quietly with His parents and there are very few things known about His life growing up — or the hidden life. We do, however, begin to see His mission being accomplished during the last three years of His life which constitutes His public life. In The Waythis week we are hearing about Jesus' 'battle cry' - Jesus telling people about the Kingdom of God, speaking in parables and using examples that they would understand to invite them in. Jesus also performs mighty deeds and miracles to show the people that His words are true and to help them to believe in all that He is revealing to them.
